Terms and Conditions

Bookings

By proceeding to book by way of paying a non-refundable booking fee, you accept that you are entering into a contract and you agree to be bound by the conditions outlined below.

Securing the booking of the event

A £100.00 booking fee paid to Clare Bryce will reserve your event date. This booking fee is non-refundable and non-transferable. Arranging a trial without payment of the deposit does not reserve my services for the event.

Trials

Bridal trial costs are to be paid on the day of your appointment by cash or card.

Pricing

The pricing quoted at the time of the booking will be honoured and any general price changes between the time of booking and your wedding date will not affect your agreed fee for the services booked. Any applicable travel charges will be outlined at the time of the booking – any parking/toll charges will be added to the final balance.

After confirmation of booking, should you wish to add more members of the bridal party, all you need to do is inform Clare Bryce in advance so timings can be adjusted for the day. The additional cost will be recalculated in the final balance 14 days before the wedding day. When full payment of the wedding day is received and the size the bridal party reduces on the day, this fee will be non-refundable. However, if Clare Bryce is informed in advance of 14 days before and your party is above the minimum booking the final balance payment will be adjusted accordingly.

Payment

Accepted methods of payment include cash and card for trials. Booking fee and balance by bank transfer.

Cancellations

In the unfortunate event you have to cancel your booking, please inform Clare Bryce as soon as possible. All cancellations will incur the following cancellation fees.

Should you wish to cancel your wedding booking at any point, the £100.00 deposit is non-refundable.

Wedding day bookings cancelled within six weeks of the date will incur the following cancellation fee:

  • Four to six weeks: 50% of the outstanding balance.
  • Four weeks’ notice or less: 100% of the outstanding balance.

If Clare Bryce cancels due to unforeseen circumstances

In the highly unlikely event that I cannot attend on the day of your wedding due to unforeseen and unfortunate events or circumstances on my part, all payments will be immediately refunded (including deposit and trial fees). We will work with you to find an alternative reputable stylist/artist or salon to cater for your requirements. However; any such booking will remain solely the responsibility of yourself.

Extreme weather conditions or delays experiences on the day

If we experience unforeseen delays which are out of our control, such as severe weather conditions or unexpected traffic congestion, compensation will not be offered if we exceed our allocated time and refunds will not be given in the event that one or more services are forfeited as a result.

In the event of extreme weather conditions, where the ‘Met office’ have issued a ‘Red’ warning for snow/ice or flooding, we reserve the right to cancel your booking. We will refund all monies, excluding trial costs and deposit, as a gesture of good will.

It is the bride’s responsibility to ensure that all members of the bridal party are strictly available at their pre-arranged, allocated times. No refund or compensation will be offered for delays caused by other wedding vendors, guests, or members of the bridal party.

Social media and photography

Clare Bryce will check verbally if the client is happy for her to post a photo on the wedding day onto social media platforms. She will never post a photo before the event has started to avoid spoiling any surprises for guests of the event.

Unless otherwise specified by the client any digital photos taken at the trial or on the wedding day may be added to Clare Bryce’s website and/or social media. If a professional photographer is present, she may ask permission to obtain any images to be used for the website.

Products and responsibility of the client

Prior to the trial, it is the responsibility of the client to inform Clare Bryce of any known skin sensitivity to products or concerns that may affect the use of any equipment or products; all details are treated as confidential. This includes but is not limited to sensitivities, allergies and medical conditions. Where possible, Clare Bryce will choose products that should suit your skin type according to the information provided. Everyone’s skin is different and it’s possible to be allergic to anything. The products selected and agreed upon during the trial will be the products that will be used on the day of your wedding. The makeup artist is not liable for any adverse reactions to products used and cannot be held liable for any losses that are incurred due to adverse reactions to products used. If the client or party requires a patch test for any products, this can be arranged and charged according to the agreed fee.
